Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the course?

The course runs for 8 weeks, Monday-Friday and requires a full-time commitment. Our hours start out short and grow over time with Bootcampers eventually training from 7am – 5pm, your standard construction hours.

Is there a cost involved?

No. All we ask is if Bootcampers could source their own steel cap boots, navy work pants and a hi-vis shirt. We provide all Personal Protective Equipment and tools.

What skills will I learn?

Skills in formwork, steel fixing, concreting, carpentry, bricklaying, fencing and general groundworks. Although this program is based around construction, our style of training offers much more – safety, injury prevention, attitude, work ethic, communication skills, dealing with different personalities, punctuality, nutrition- all of which affect labour productivity in every industry. We cover most the skills that you will need to successfully gain employment.

How will I be trained?

All our training is done outdoors and is practical, hands-on. You get the chance to build stairs, culverts, pits, retaining walls and much more – just like on a real construction site. You will be given the opportunity to try different skills/trades to help you find your own strengths and choose the right career path.

Do I gain any qualifications?

You may be able to gain 5 units of competency for a Certificate ll in Construction, which includes a Working Safely at Heights ticket. Upon completion, we assist you to obtain a traineeship or apprenticeship if desired. Note: If you do not have a white card we can assist you to obtain one throughout our course.

How do I sign up?

Anyone interested just needs to arrange (or someone on their behalf can arrange) a meet and greet with one of our Team Leaders. You can contact them at
